What good is life to the universe?
From what we've done so far,
it couldn't be worse.

The volcanoes of Io will keep erupting
no matter how many worlds
we keep corrupting.

The expansion of gravity will keep going
even without anyone at all
paying attention, learning, knowing.

The speed of light will go on speeding
even without the lightmeters
we keep on reading.

What's the importance of life in the universe?
There is no importance.
There's none in this verse.

There is no importance of life in the universe.
There is no reason we are here.
To the people who believe there is, I'm averse.
