My Friend's Daughter
This is my daughter Nicky
He said and then moved away
My hand was still in hers
I smiled and said hello
At my age you shouldn't look so long
Her eyes soon turned away
And our hands were free
But I could still feel hers in mine
At my age you shouldn't look so long
She smiled and politely said good bye
And as I watched her go
We both knew, foolish thoughts
Are not just for the young.
