I step away from that
I'm no door mat to step on
I'm no 'duty call' on your fucking phone
When will I get what I want?
Trying to please others all the time
Becoming last on my will's line
Can I just be me for a while?
Happyness's never stayed inside
but this is my highway's 33th mile
More then three decades of being aside
And so it is. I get it now
I want to see and I allow
This is my last and sacred vow
I used to feed from being accepted
Not owning love, but always rented
So strong inside despite knees bended
I step away from that
I'll figure out what
This is a great fad
I'm no 'duty call' on your fucking phone
When will I get what I want?
Trying to please others all the time
Becoming last on my will's line
Can I just be me for a while?
Happyness's never stayed inside
but this is my highway's 33th mile
More then three decades of being aside
And so it is. I get it now
I want to see and I allow
This is my last and sacred vow
I used to feed from being accepted
Not owning love, but always rented
So strong inside despite knees bended
I step away from that
I'll figure out what
This is a great fad
