When Fascism Rises, Get Up Out of Your Bed!
I’m naked,
In my thoughts and in my dreams.
Exposed,
All my plans and all my schemes.
Vulnerable,
To the elements and chilly air.
My heart beats fast,
Although I'm trying not too much to care.
The symphony awakens,
And my consciousness does too.
The river’s streaming,
Peaking curiosity,
While avoiding becoming unglued.
The threats are real,
The people panic.
The vicious thinking,
Oh, so rancid.
I walk this road,
Looking for supporters.
None to support me in my errors,
But to buttress my improving morals.
There’s a screen staring at me,
In the midst of the forest.
In the next 12 months
I need my mistakes overshadowed
By my glories.
Life if short,
Life is long,
Depending how you look at it,
Weak or strong.
We cannot be regretful.
We got to move ahead.
When Fascism rises,
Get up out of your bed.
In my thoughts and in my dreams.
Exposed,
All my plans and all my schemes.
Vulnerable,
To the elements and chilly air.
My heart beats fast,
Although I'm trying not too much to care.
The symphony awakens,
And my consciousness does too.
The river’s streaming,
