5: 68: Your Flawed Self
Excerpt 68 from Journal 5, 'Reaching My True Love'
-From 'Journals To My True Love Part 2'
My Love, somewhere deep inside yourself, find me, see me...
In a deep place you forgot long ago...
In a place where you were wounded and rejected,
where the wounds never healed...
Face yourself in this place you so fear...
Where you were defenseless and weak...
Face that I am there...
Face that I embody what you both passionately love and hate...
Face that I am impure and degraded...
Face what life has done to me...
Meet me as an opponent would in defense...
For I am as formidable as your evolved self...
Face the duality of this paradox...
You deeply fear what you so deeply desire...
So, I am a sickness to resolve...
A voice to ignore...
A pestulance you tire of...
And a part of yourself you loathe...
I represent what you could never have...
What slipped away like water...
What followed you like a ghost...
Or, what cast a darkened cloud on your dreams...
Face that you remember me...
Face how I have changed...
Know that you have too...
See at last your flawed, rejected self in me...
