Life Of A Poet
-From 'Noon Realizations'
Black,
my heart
which blows
and spits forth
words...
It sputters
and gurgles
in finality
as a motor
about to give out...
I throws
its last bits
of prose
to again fall
on deaf ears...
It laughs
and seethes
with futility
and fatality
and grandeur...
It gives its
last bit of life
to the words
to carry on
as in black...
Light descends
incandescent,
words carry on
as truth reviles
old lies...
Black,
my heart
which blows
and spits forth
words...
It sputters
and gurgles
in finality
as a motor
about to give out...
I throws
its last bits
of prose
to again fall
on deaf ears...
It laughs
and seethes
with futility
and fatality
and grandeur...
It gives its
last bit of life
to the words
to carry on
as in black...
Light descends
incandescent,
words carry on
as truth reviles
old lies...
