Treacherous Thing

take a look in my direction
don’t let your pride hold you back
‘cos when it comes to touch
I ain’t no Indian giver
I have shown you that much

some say your love’s my addiction
some say your heart’s too hard to crack
‘cos when you come to touch
I’m left with a shiver
and marred by your smutch

woman, girl
marvelous invention of sun-warmed milk and sugar
you are the most treacherous thing

woman, girl
I found my inspiration and I love you like no other
you are the most treacherous thing

just can’t shake this affliction
my head and heart are out of whack
and I’m so out of touch
no meds could deliver
what I need so much

a necessary resuscitation
a return of the breath that I lack
a simple hope to clutch
but ne’er is there a sliver
my wounded will cannot budge

woman, girl
marvelous invention of sun-warmed milk and sugar
you are the most treacherous thing

woman, girl
I found my inspiration and I love you like no other
you are the most treacherous thing
