The Dark Follower
I can feel myself slipping
A little every day
Back to the shadows
Where I once lost my way
The darkness is creeping
I can see It at night
Im just reaching for my lamp
To spread a little light
It lurches toward me
But I manage a smile
It shrinks back a little
But no more than a mile
It hungers for more
Just one little drag
It temps me with a blade
Cause It knows, then I'll be had
Im running fast now
To escape the pain
But It hears my blood
Gushing threw my vein
The darkness grabs at me
I force a laugh
My friends dont know
They just saved me from Its gaff
If follows for now
But I still see It crawl
Just waiting for me to slip
So in It, I can fall.
A little every day
Back to the shadows
Where I once lost my way
The darkness is creeping
I can see It at night
Im just reaching for my lamp
To spread a little light
It lurches toward me
But I manage a smile

But no more than a mile
