Golden
I am not
The Golden Girl.
My eyes don't dance and
My hair doesn't shimmer.
I am not luminous in the golden hour.
I am not
The Golden Girl.
But I will dive beneath the sea
And I will become slick and iced blue.
Oh,
If I disappear
Behind the
Glassy waves at dusk
Cloaked in orange
Fire
If i ignite and burn out
Beneath a rising sun
With the night laughing
Behind me.
I will look into the
Fiery horizon.
And I will be
The Golden Girl
The Golden Girl.
My eyes don't dance and
My hair doesn't shimmer.
I am not luminous in the golden hour.
I am not
The Golden Girl.
But I will dive beneath the sea
And I will become slick and iced blue.
Oh,
If I disappear
Behind the
Glassy waves at dusk
Cloaked in orange
Fire
If i ignite and burn out
Beneath a rising sun
With the night laughing
Behind me.
I will look into the
Fiery horizon.
And I will be
The Golden Girl
