Like sand in the hour glass
Memories sift through my mind
Guess it couldn’t last
Trying to fool Father Time
I long to hear your voice
Hoping you will call
You always had a choice
But somehow we lost it all
Scarred from losing you
My heart and my soul
Not knowing what to do
Beats lonely and cold
Without the warmth from you
I am lost, forever alone
My mind knows the truth
But won’t accept that you’re gone
Make my heart understand
So it no longer hurts
And aches for a man
I can no longer touch
The emptiness inside
Only filled by you
The hurt – I still hide
Missing my soulmate true
Should you ever decide
To find your way home
My arms are open wide -
You would never feel alone…
Memories sift through my mind
Guess it couldn’t last
Trying to fool Father Time
I long to hear your voice
Hoping you will call
You always had a choice
But somehow we lost it all
Scarred from losing you
My heart and my soul
Not knowing what to do
Beats lonely and cold
Without the warmth from you
I am lost, forever alone
My mind knows the truth
But won’t accept that you’re gone
Make my heart understand
So it no longer hurts
And aches for a man
I can no longer touch
The emptiness inside
Only filled by you
The hurt – I still hide
Missing my soulmate true
Should you ever decide
To find your way home
My arms are open wide -
You would never feel alone…
