I Can't Sleep
I can’t sleep and I’m pretty sure it’s your fault
As we go to bed you hog all the covers saying you’re cold
As you snuggle up behind me you come in so close you almost push me over the side
Finally you roll over and I get some more room
But then you move again, in to the middle of the bed, and I’m back to no room at all
You sleep sideways with your feet buried under my legs
You say you’re cold
When we wake up you have pushed all the blankets on top of me and I’m sweaty
I thought you said you were cold
Each night is the same with no break in routine
But tonight you aren’t here next to me and I have the bed all to myself
And as hard as I try I can’t sleep.
