Words
Words are to a poet what candy is to a child
temptingly sweet, they call to you
melting slowly on the tongue,
meant to be savored
ever so tempting
even when you try to abstain
they find you
waiting to be unwrapped
tasted, discovered,
until you find yourself once again indulging.
temptingly sweet, they call to you
melting slowly on the tongue,
meant to be savored
ever so tempting
even when you try to abstain
they find you
waiting to be unwrapped
tasted, discovered,
until you find yourself once again indulging.
