Reawake
Once I was wide awake
Then I fell during a great quake
I heard a silent giggle
Soon I felt a slight tickle
Every living thing laughing
Insomuch they were gasping
All but the trees,
best leave them be
In their matter-of-fact tone
They've continually shown
Not even a tingling leaf
Always avoiding mischief
The animals will not cease
Laughter seems only to increase
Songbirds slapping knees
Hysterically laughing bees
The earth trembles awake;
an airborne earthquake
Flowers chuckle their jokes
Infinite, the laughter soaks
Rocks vibrate to powder
The smiles get louder
Microorganisms pitch in
invisible, but bearing a grin
The grass is uncontainable
Ground becomes unsustainable
Then earth gave birth
To a great chasm of dirt
Deep as the sea
Wholly, it swallowed me
Once I slept so sound
I fell from beneath the ground
Then I fell during a great quake
I heard a silent giggle
Soon I felt a slight tickle
Every living thing laughing
Insomuch they were gasping
All but the trees,
best leave them be
In their matter-of-fact tone
They've continually shown
Not even a tingling leaf
Always avoiding mischief
The animals will not cease
Laughter seems only to increase
Songbirds slapping knees
Hysterically laughing bees
The earth trembles awake;
an airborne earthquake
Flowers chuckle their jokes
Infinite, the laughter soaks
Rocks vibrate to powder
The smiles get louder
Microorganisms pitch in

The grass is uncontainable

Then earth gave birth
To a great chasm of dirt
Deep as the sea
Wholly, it swallowed me
Once I slept so sound
I fell from beneath the ground
