Fragment of a Morsel
Fragment of a morsel
A sampling
A tease
Of what love
Could be
The flavor of passion
Dripping decadence
Of a tender rush
Lips that touch
Exalting nerves
In their perfect hush
But a day of hellos
Ends in a quick-glanced
goodbye
A sigh
Though I suppose
I'd rather mow the flowers
Than see them succumb
slowly
Too autumns bitter shade
Wilted and lonely
A sampling
A tease
Of what love
Could be
The flavor of passion
Dripping decadence
Of a tender rush
Lips that touch
Exalting nerves
In their perfect hush
But a day of hellos
Ends in a quick-glanced
goodbye
A sigh
Though I suppose
I'd rather mow the flowers
Than see them succumb
slowly
Too autumns bitter shade
Wilted and lonely
