Tuesday - Day Version
Disturbed sleep
But not a shattered mind
I wake up with heavy,
Heavy eyes
Today's going to rock
As I have a plan
Serendipity awaits me
Like a breeze in the sand
This life is not top down
But instead is inside out
I may not understand it now
Until I've travelled my route
Time shifts and shimmies
Like mists in early morn
Awaiting the dawn from the bathroom break
To see with what my new day adorns
I used to subscribe to an invisible hand
However, at present I perceive
My own action instead
With a dose of outside forces
Pulling and pushing at will
And me in the middle
Like a burger flipping on the grill
Welcome to Tuesday
On a long summer's night
We embrace the new challenges
Like the dark invites light
But not a shattered mind
I wake up with heavy,
Heavy eyes
Today's going to rock
As I have a plan
Serendipity awaits me
Like a breeze in the sand
This life is not top down
But instead is inside out
I may not understand it now
Until I've travelled my route
Time shifts and shimmies
Like mists in early morn
Awaiting the dawn from the bathroom break
To see with what my new day adorns
I used to subscribe to an invisible hand
However, at present I perceive
My own action instead
With a dose of outside forces
Pulling and pushing at will
And me in the middle
Like a burger flipping on the grill
Welcome to Tuesday
On a long summer's night
We embrace the new challenges
Like the dark invites light
