Love's Martyr
I can't give you what you give me
Love is not my specialty
A bad tree can't bare good fruit and
Likewise
Your not like other guys
Taking as I am despite my tatters
Handing me your heart on a silver platter
But I can't accept
I should be the last to reject
But a broken girl deserves a lesser man
And how can grasp I something I don't understand?
Why choose me?
You have your choice of flowers in the valley that are lovelier than I
Yet you venture into the thicket to retrieve me
Do my thorns not already burrow deep enough into thee?
Yet you ignore your pain and try to break my thorns in vain
Love's martyr
Why suffer for hell's daughter?
You love is full and true
Why chose something broken over something new?
Why love me when I'm only hurting you?
