This Is The Day - Monday Morning Meditation

This is the day
One out of many
Where I wake up
to a greeting world
Seeking from myself
A mighty dollar and pretty penny

I adapt, though it's painful
With every ounce of my strength
To swim this channel
One length by one length

I may make excuses
I may run soon out of steam
But premiers, Councillors
Please witness my theme:

"Never hold back
Never look back
From morn till night
Track by track

Take the long journey
A stride at a time
Focusing, stretching
Tho' your poem might not always rhyme"
