Never Ever Regret This Trip
I meditate
to stay alive
I meditate
to thrive
I meditate
with verse & prose
I meditate
to see where it goes
I meditate
for mental health
I meditate
on Nature’s wealth
I meditate
for the new day
I meditate
spontaneously
The Richter Scale
jumps off the charts
When a busted rhyme
creates a new art
The times, they are
a-changing
My story’s locker
I’m re-arranging
Grab my hand
& travel with me
The adventures
of what you’ll . . .
feel, touch, taste, smell
hear, view & see
Life is short
but not my tongue
Let’s climb up
another ladder rung
The journey is swift,
this journey of joy
This journey needs you
It is no ploy
So take the first step
& embark this ship
You will never ever
regret this trip
Music throughout:
“Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”
Written by Bob Dylan, 1973
This version by
Guns ’N Roses
Use Your Illusion II, 1991
All scenes shot at Port Mann Bridge
between Surrey & Coquitlam BC, Canada
Except for one quick snapshot
Of me at sunset in the rolling grassy plains
Outside Huhhot, Inner Mongolia, China
Poetry is how
I stay alive . . .
