raining anxiety
drip, drop as the sky cries
racing the sundown
only to run back into your arms
radio's down a few miles
trembling with coffee and water
tried to refuel before you took me home
as i hit your sheets
wondering why i'm not better
hurting & questioning this weather i'm under
pains striking much like lightening
thoughts rolling with the thunder
separating from our storm
the sun won't shine another day
if we stay inside this barn-home shelter
racing the sundown
only to run back into your arms
radio's down a few miles
trembling with coffee and water
tried to refuel before you took me home
as i hit your sheets
wondering why i'm not better
hurting & questioning this weather i'm under
pains striking much like lightening
thoughts rolling with the thunder
separating from our storm
the sun won't shine another day
if we stay inside this barn-home shelter
