Joni Mitchell

I drew a map of the world with question marks were you might be?
I'll start with the prettiest in nature
I think like you and look in green places
Where Spring stops my mind for a few precious days
And little flowers push through winter to bless the universe
Something so long in the making
Guiding me one smile at a time til I find the flowers in your room
Gingerbread smells embrace me in warm arms while I wait
I hang my coat next to yours and fly  inside
 dancing barefoot in deep carpet
Dried petals from a hundred countries
My gifts to you
Faint perfume on parchment skin
