Greener Pastures

You meet someone and over time the things you didn't know about them, you come to know.
You start off with a clean slate with no mistakes, and over time, make many with one another.

Eventually these mistakes and problems build and if not worked through, will lead to resentment.
Resentment has been known to eat away at the strongest loves throughout history.

So, one or both of you may consider looking for greener pastures.  Finding someone who you do not know, so you can have that clean slate again.

Well my friend, you can do this, but it will only set a lifelong pattern of running away from your problems.
For you see, you can move from one person to another, and sleep with half the world, and yet still find that you have the same problem.
You are running.

Running from the problems, the mistakes, the hurt feelings, in essence, a vital component of LIFE.

We need to make mistakes in order to grow.
However if you do not venture to learn from your mistakes, you are likely to make the same one over and over again.

Mistakes are an opportunity to grow as a person and to learn more about yourself, others, and the world around you.
Mistakes should be seen as an opportunity for growth, not something to fear.

We need to have the good with the bad.
If you do not have good, you can not ever know any type of happiness, if you do not have bad, then you will not ever be able to appreciate happiness nearly as much when it does come along.

We need a balance.
If the scales need to be tipped, then good is obviously the best side to weigh more.
Too much bad will suck away your soul.

So instead of looking for greener pastures or sitting on the fence of what type of person that you want to be, try appreciating what you do have, instead of what you do not have.

Often times when people get what they believe they wanted after looking for greener pastures, they end up disappointed because it turns out that it was not what they wanted deep down.

The end result is often losing what you really do want, but did not know it.
