Isolated Box
Trapped in an isolated box.
Not for lack of trying to get out.
Simply put there by the person not wanting to hear my voice.
I care about you, I love you.
Words said to placate me, to shut me up from the hurt you caused.
You do not want me to have a voice.
You do not want me to get angry or defend myself.
You simply want to isolate me into a box.
Just so you can do anything you want.
You feel entitled, hurting the person you claim to love doesn't count.
You have ripped out my heart and trashed it.
Yet YOU are the victim and...

The Bond of Love
You will never know how hard it was to walk away from you.
All that we shared with one another still exists in my memory.
Do you ever remember?
I tried so hard to help you, like you helped me when I needed it most.
When you found me I was slowly dying inside, giving up on myself.
But then I met you, and you helped me to remember the strength within.
You helped me to see not only how much courage I have, but also how much love I had deep inside.
That love spilled over when I met you. You touched me like no other.
Forgetting you is impossible,...
All that we shared with one another still exists in my memory.

Memories of London
The plane landed in a cloud of mist. The drizzle of the rain was the warm embrance merry old England had to offer for my arrival. I smile to myself, thinking that I would not have it any other way.
Heathrow full of travelers going to places all over the world whilst I find my way to the one who waits.
Collecting my baggage and heading out to the lines of faces waiting for someone to arrive back into their lives. I'm a new arrival for the one who waits. The one who waits walks amongst the throng of people in line never taking eyes off of me.

I Am Me
I am not here for your entertainment.
I am not simply a body that you can have your way with.
I have a brain and I have feelings, despite the fact that you forget that.
You enjoy our conversations because they are "fun."
Fun is all well and good but not when you turn your back when life sometimes is not fun.
Life sometimes just gets a bit too messy and complicated.
I am me.
I have a voice.
I have thoughts.
I have emotions.
As a human being I deserve to be loved and to love.
To have the devotion of those who...

I call for you, and you turn your back on me so callously.
You hear me, but make it seem like you don't.
Is it that you are not caring, or the shame you feel for hurting me?
You claim to care about me.
"I never want anything bad to happen to you," you say.
Yet you do many things to cause bad things to happen to me.
"You love me," you say.
How can you claim to love someone when you constantly do things that you know will hurt that person?

Long Gone
And I thought,
I could leave you behind.
And I thought,
I could see into your mind.
But all I know,
Is that you're long gone,
away from here.
My heart calls out to yours,
but where there once was an answer
is now an echo.
A shadow of who you once were.
I can almost feel you near,

Greener Pastures
You meet someone and over time the things you didn't know about them, you come to know.
You start off with a clean slate with no mistakes, and over time, make many with one another.
Eventually these mistakes and problems build and if not worked through, will lead to resentment.
Resentment has been known to eat away at the strongest loves throughout history.
So, one or both of you may consider looking for greener pastures. Finding someone who you do not know, so you can have that clean slate again.

Stripped Bare
Stripped bare of all the things I thought I knew.
Did I ever really know anything?
Has anyone ever cared about me, or was it all a lie.
Lost at sea, water full of woe and sorrow.
The water flows with heartache and heart break.
How can I move forward when I know nothing of the present or the past. Was any of it real?
I feel punished for all my sins ever committed.
It seems no matter what good I try to do, it matters naught.
I matter naught.
Hope calls to me, urging me to remember the strength within.
