Black demon chasing me again
Keep on coming back for more
Black demon bringing on the pain
Keep on playing with my mind
Now you got me crying in the rain
You wanna make me go insane
But your efforts are in vain
My black demon’s chasing me again
It’s eating up my soul
Ripping out my beating heart
You don’t wanna be with me
Cause you’re too scared of him
But he won’t even hurt you
That’s just not the way it works

Everybody's got their own "black demon", it could be a person, an illness, a job you hate etc. When I wrote this song, "black demon" was a tumor but I didn't want to be that specific about it, so that everybody can associate the lyrics with his personal "black demon".
