He fell like a star

He fell like a star
Brought light like he should
Grew legions of demons
Equally righteous to the good
He’s not evil like in the books
He’s a calm chaos
In the eye of the hurricane
Dreaming of peace and escape
But stigma won’t let him set a foot outside
Begging and searching but nothing happens
His voice is quiet and trapped
His sins are the heaviest
And they lay upon his shoulders
Like the world upon God
But the people who know of him
Refuse to raise the burden
For the one who needs it most
Is often the one forgotten
And the prayers are about
Those whose lives are bountiful
Despite this burden
He’s not sorrowful
Not guilty, not sad
He’s scared, scared
Scared and unfortunately alive
He longs for a quiet
Away from the screams
He’s tearing at the seams
Hell is a punishment he bears
For he can’t reach Heaven’s stairs
