ACT OF GROSS INDECENCY: COTTAGING IN THORNES PARK
when they came at us
out of the shadows
restraining with words and
fingers meshed tight as traps,
when they held us,
you sobbing,
in a room of slatted light
and a desk of polished wood
and an air of faint disgust
when they read the charges,
levelled the fines and
reported it in the press
they called it an
act of gross indecency
only we knew
and shared the moments
as an act of Love
out of the shadows
restraining with words and
fingers meshed tight as traps,
when they held us,
you sobbing,
in a room of slatted light
and a desk of polished wood
and an air of faint disgust
when they read the charges,
levelled the fines and
reported it in the press
they called it an
act of gross indecency
only we knew
and shared the moments
as an act of Love
