A Child's Journal
I sit perched above myself;
Pulled down from the dusty shelf
Haloed by candles; dimly lit
Staring deep into my soul
Trying to find the way back home.
Searching for clues from times, passed long
Lurching, confused at the lines gone wrong
Like meeting an old friend, I no longer know…
An obituary of innocence
Eulogized by a child.

Trying to find the way back home.

Like meeting an old friend, I no longer know…
