God(s) of Human(kind)
We call our God(s) a different name
But use religion just the same;
To choose the people they say it's okay
To throw rocks at until they're dead.
They try to get into your head
They try to get into your bed
To tell you the things THEIR God said
About the birds and the bees.
The allegory
Of the cursed fig leaf
Is an analogy
Of hypocrisy.
That which appears to be
A fruit - laden tree
Will never set you free
Through shame.
Peace doesn't grow by spreading blame
It spreads when we embrace we're human(e).
