A Sunrise Kiss

Curled up under the covers
Slight breeze coming in
All is still
&
It’s quiet around me
Just my own thoughts running rampant in my head

Rolling over
Eyes still closed shut
Don’t really want to get up
Want to sleep on and on forever

Breathing in
Breathing out

Hair falling in front of my face
Gently sweeping it over
Putting my hand back under the covers
Then grabbing my pillow
&
Hugging it tight

Feeling calmness slowing taking over
As I paint pictures in my mind
Letting my imagination soar
And smiling

And as I slowly open my eyes
I see the sun rise
And it kissed me
Good morning
And I just smiled
