Betraying
I spent 5 years with you,
Things never changed.
You didn't tell me I was beautiful, instead you choose the bottle.
Countless nights watching you self medicate with alcohol while I watched in silence.
I betrayed you.
Because I didn't feel loved.
I found comfort with another, love with another and freedom with another.
I'm sorry it happened this way, but I tried my hardest to make this work.
You exhausted my love and my care.
You can only do so much, before you need to throw in the towel.
You will be missed.
