Temptation of Power
When Christ was driven into the desert to be tempted of the devil (Mark 1.12-13),
The temptation came in the form of the desire to rule over
"all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor"(Matthew 4.8-10).
In short it was the temptation of power, political power, authority.
All Christ had to do is kneel down and worship the serpent.
Likewise, with the temptation of homosexuality.
What is it if not the desire to taste power, experience strength?
For what is manly firmness if not strength, and male arousal if not power?
The contracted bicep has an appeal, likewise sexual stiffness.
And there is energy released when seed is out-poured.
Yes, the vigor associated with flowing semen may be attractive.
All you have to do to capture that forcefulness is get down on your knees.
So, at such times it is best to recall Christ's words,
"Away with you Satan, for it is written,'Worship
the Lord your God and serve only Him'"(Matthew 4.10).
As soon as He spoke those words,"the devil left Him,
and suddenly angels came and waited on Him"(Mat 4.11).
The same thing will be true with you - angel thoughts will come to mind.
I know its true, for it's happened in my own experience.
