A message for father
When I was little you were my only super hero.
You even taught me how to do tricks with a yoyo.
You use to buy me candy from the store.
Now you don't even show up no more.
My eyes hurt, crying everyday my throat sore.
Feeling like fresh prince wondering why my father don't love me no more.
Rainy days, eye's watery staring out the window.
My vision blurry waiting any minute now you will be coming down the road.
Six years same spot and you still don't appear.
No more waiting as I wipe my tears.
Watching cartoons waiting on the school bus as I ready my school gear.
Now I'm a adolescent playing sports as I look right your image not in the stands.
Damn I use to think you were the man.
Out of school a young man with no plan.
Misguided out in the streets hitting licks trying to get a band.
All the talent in the world truly gifted but I feel like you the world worst dad.
They expect me to forgive and give him a second chance.
Alleviate anger they said let go and leave it in God's hand.
So much anger I swear I don't hear them it's like I'm in a trance.
Memories of the past when we use to play.
But how do you forgive him when he ask you when is you're birthday.
