What would you do?

Would you go to jail for a crime you didn't commit?
Could you do it, if you had too?
As they take you away, would it bother you if someone who claims to love you, denies that he ever knew you.
Would that hurt you?
Even though you told them, thats what they were going to do!
Would you take getting beat to a bloody pulp in plain view, of everyone, as they cheered for your abusers to continue?
As flesh was being ripped from your body is that something you are willing to do?
Could you do that for me if I needed you too?

While still weaken from your beating, could you carry my burdens across your back,
As if thats not too much to ask,
Could you walk through the city, to your own demise, while townsmen, cheer, jeered, and spit in your face?  
As your mother stares, helplessly, with tears in her eyes.
Would you be willing to take his place?

All the while knowing you don't deserve this disgrace.

Is that even possible?

As they nailed you to a cross for everyone to see on, Calvary, I ask you would have enough love inside to plead to God, "forgive them father for they know not what they do!" even as they crucified you!
I don't know about you but I thank God that I didn't have to...
