Chasing Sunsets
I chase the sunset,
Riding towards night,
Wind rushing past my face,
Filling me with a newly found vigor & passion,
As I reach the crashing waters,
I find bright shining clouds,
The remnants of a dying day.
I sit and stare, contemplating
The meaning of existence.
A newly found freedom,
And zest for life,
Fill my present being,
And no pessimistic,
self destructive, thoughts
That the future might bring,
Can take from me the passion,
And feeling of unity,
that I feel now.
I will cherish this love of life while I can,
For one day,
It may all be gone,
Like the light of this dying day.
