Alice
Dear Alice how you dream of other times;
Fantastic fantasies defy your sense,
Your utterance commits my final mind,
Through your willpower can our dreams commence.
A better place, with all a difference face;
Subtle in your ways of words with measure,
Where apprehension leaves, nary a trace,
And company presents nat'ral treasure.
Letting not fraudulent claims of those passed,
Distract from inspiration in our state;
Forever hopeful that we may yet last,
And that we may never abide our fate.
Then as you are paragon beauty, mine;
So I, in your eternal thoughts, sublime.
Fantastic fantasies defy your sense,
Your utterance commits my final mind,
Through your willpower can our dreams commence.
A better place, with all a difference face;
Subtle in your ways of words with measure,
Where apprehension leaves, nary a trace,
And company presents nat'ral treasure.
Letting not fraudulent claims of those passed,
Distract from inspiration in our state;
Forever hopeful that we may yet last,
And that we may never abide our fate.
Then as you are paragon beauty, mine;
So I, in your eternal thoughts, sublime.
