Isn't life cruel at times
The way it gives you what you want when you don't need it and what you need when you don't want it
The way it dangles that carrot just short of your reach
The only lessons you learn are not what the schools teach
We watch the ones we hate prosper and the ones we love perish
We grow up to learn there's no genie to grant our every wish
Guess I'm just off target and missed a sitter
Guess life has just made me bitter
