The day starts out pretty quiet
nothing out the regular.
Until for some reason I look at the calendar.
27 days until my baby girls first birthday.
I begin to stress over all the games
her mom is about to be play.
My mind switches and I begin 
to think about my little girl so I...

Sit here trying to keep it all in stride.
Bottle up these feelings keep it deep inside.
Got to keep going you got kids that depend on you.
But what about your little baby girl, she needs me too.
I am torn up inside cause I can't be there for you.
When you left my house you were cutting a tooth and barely crawling.
Now you have eight teeth and your already talking.
It is a joy and pain to hear you say "Dad".
Outside I am smiling but inside I'm MAD.  
I am happy to see your growing but it hurts because I'm not there.
From the outside looking in. You might think I don't care.  
It kills me inside to be contradictory.
I fought to get your brother and sisters and you are not here with me.
I use to be hard on Men who left their babies behind.
The games played by some baby mama's will make a sane man lose his mind.  
Don't they understand while you try hurt the fathers and that they do.
You forget the important thing is that baby suffers too.
Baby girl you are in my prayers every night and in my thoughs every day.
Some how it will get better this I pray.
This pain is temporary I believe this to be true. Until that day. ..

A Fathers Prayer
Lord I ask you to keep your loving arms around my baby while we are apart. I know you can right this wrong I believe this in my heart. I'm trying Lord the best that I can. I trust you will guide me through these things I don't understand.
