On The Tip of My Tongue

There’s something I must find
A song that’s yet unsung
There’s something on my mind
On the tip of my tongue

There’s something I have sought,
Hidden like an egg’s yoke,
Just beyond my blind spot,
I’m the butt of this joke

They’ve come from North & South,
All ages, old & young
I just put my foot in my mouth,
With just a slip of the tongue

Although I think I know it all,
They’re all in on it, you see?
I’m staring at a brick wall,
I’m the punchline that sets us free

My perspective is selective,
And it’s so small, you know?
Consciousness is collective,
In the higher mind we grow—

Together we could rise or fall
And, in this moment learn to be
We hear it, all, the cosmic call
If we listen, we may find the key

Bigger isn’t always best
It depends on where & what it is
And when you arise to take the test
It’s best to have studied for the quiz

We are woven from the inside out,
Woven again from the outside in,
We are weaving them, without a doubt,
Threads of thought we weave, & yarns we spin

I can’t say it any better,
Though I know it sounds absurd,
We are within the letters
And within us are the words

There’s more beyond all life’s deception,
Past the surface we must look deep
Different angles change our perception
We’re shown truth as we awake from sleep

There are watchers in the sky
With a different point of view
They look down from up on high,
Seeing beyond me and you

As our energies combine together,
We see a clearer picture, wide & grand
Whole & true, as the changing weather,
Together we rise & Together we stand

We’ve come to the conclusion
To Join the Revolution,
And be part of the solution
For our further evolution

We seek to unite mankind
As one, under the sun,
Until we come to find
We are already one

There’s something I did find
A song that’s now been sung
There’s something on my mind
On the tip of my tongue
