Truth and Lies

She's fighting her demons
There's war inside her head
She believes she's worthless
So she hides in her bed
She sees her reflection
In the mirror on her wall
She thinks she looks ugly
So tears begin to fall
She thinks she can't be loved
From mistakes in her past
Memories keep haunting
They seem to always last
She still hears the boy's words
Resounding in her ears
He said she is too fat
That added to her fears
That made her to stop eating
But it just made her sick
So she tried using pills
But her gut felt like a brick
Sometimes on her worst days
She finds a razor blade
She cuts till her blood flows
And she feels she has paid
Her parents say they love her
And they know she is strong
If only they knew that
So much is very wrong
Her life is full of pain
Hurt comes each day anew
She hears all these liars
I wish she knew what's true
She should know she's perfect
Without changing herself
She should follow her dreams
Not hide them on a shelf
She is so beautiful
Gorgeous in every way
Why is this a secret?

Her life is worth so much

Used only as a crutch
