You without Me

Time and memories are so strange
Like horses running wild on an open range
When you break the silence you'll find the blame
Only the thunder from the hoofs remain

I drive this war ship into the sunset
The light blinds the things I couldn't see
Like wheels that turn on the road of regret
I wished I'd never known you without me

I feel like I'll never hear your voice or touch face
I feel like sometimes I can't remember what I've erased.
I feel those times are gone... when we were alone.
I wonder if it was real and don't like how it feels

Take the candle from your cake
Hold tight for all our mistakes
Let the flame touch your hand
I will feel your pain
Only then will you understand.

I feel like I'll never hear your voice or touch face
I feel like sometimes I can't remember what I've erased.
I feel those times are gone... when we were alone.
I wonder if it was real and don't like how it feels
