Concealed with a Smile
Everyday She smiles a big ole smile
One so bright it cheers up the worse storms in others lives
It adds flavor to the air
and spunk and
rhythm
And it genuinely always shows how much she really cares.
For others though..
See that smile could be no more fake
It's an effortless curvature she always makes.
It naturally appears like any rainbow after the rain and it effortlessly disintegrates so quick in every way.
But she's so good at smiling that no one knows the difference
No one knows the true meaning of her smile
No one ever notices the wounds bandaged behind those beautiful smiles.
No one realized that
she smiles this lonely smile
And she cries these companioned tears
That still don't even wash away her anxiety and fears
But yet she keeps smiling that smile
And keeps grinning that grin as
She keeps laughing that laugh
Yeah that loud bubbly one that cracks up everyone yeah the one that brings her to tears when no one can see that those are tears of her pain
but she's so good at smiling no one knows the difference.
She's so good at comforting others
That she tries to comfort herself and fails
She's so good at being there for others
That there's no time for others to be there for her
Maybe that's why she studied psychology
Not to understand others
But to understand herself
Figure out why she smiles so bright when her soul is so withdrawn
Why she laughs so hearty
And her emotions don't correlate
When she cries tears through her laughter no one sees
Or when she screams help through her giggles no one feels
Feels the vibration of the emitting sounds
Or when she shivers to the ground why doesn't anyone help her up instead of putting her down?
No one ever notices
Maybe it's because she's so good at smiling that no one knows the difference
One so bright it cheers up the worse storms in others lives
It adds flavor to the air
