Past Petals

Walking the uneven brick past
blooming buds engrossed in morning light chatter
befriend sleepy eyes there after.

Radiant sinner allures and fingers
flowered deceit. Twirling in white her petal skirt
masking madness.

Walking blind they admire, straight through
the blooms always forgetting
to smell the groomed buds awaiting the bell’s ball.
