Once upon a time
Once upon a time
I was like the angry apple trees in the fall
After their fruit dropped;
After their leaves left them exposed
To the winter winds
Once upon a time
Unhearted and hollowed.
My words dripped from my mouth
Like water from the rugs
hung out to dry in crispiness of the morn’.
Once upon a time
When we found and loved
The way we needed to be loved,
And my name you voweled
In laughter with glitter eyes
About Russian melons
Floating my way.
I smile at the memories myriad
O the many reasons why we love
And learn from one another.
Once upon a time
you touched the seeds of my soul,
Sprouting them under the moon as
Luminescence of our love;
You would skip stars across the heavens
And watch their dust sparkle fall
Around us in the night air of our dreams.
I was like the angry apple trees in the fall
After their fruit dropped;
After their leaves left them exposed
To the winter winds
Once upon a time
Unhearted and hollowed.
My words dripped from my mouth
Like water from the rugs
hung out to dry in crispiness of the morn’.
Once upon a time
When we found and loved
The way we needed to be loved,
And my name you voweled
