One Way Mirror
The eyes are a window to the soul,
But also can be a mirror to my own
As I look into your eyes and you in mine
I feel you unveiling the demons I hide
Smoke moves above the edges of the television screen
Like wispy mountain storm clouds crawling themselves into nothing
My heart is my secret and I must keep it
Pulsing waves of blackness
Locked up under twisted threads
of insecure fears of rejection and pain
And I am all alone
Thinking of warmth beneath liquid skin
And the heart ache of an empty day
Haunted by a fog of moving on.
But also can be a mirror to my own
As I look into your eyes and you in mine
I feel you unveiling the demons I hide
Smoke moves above the edges of the television screen
Like wispy mountain storm clouds crawling themselves into nothing
My heart is my secret and I must keep it
Pulsing waves of blackness
Locked up under twisted threads
of insecure fears of rejection and pain
And I am all alone
Thinking of warmth beneath liquid skin
And the heart ache of an empty day
Haunted by a fog of moving on.
