I hate being ugly.
No, there won't be another voice.
My depression is not here with me
As a separate being as for right now,
We are one.
I hate being ugly.
Such a typical thing to say BUT I MEAN IT.
I see girls pulls at their faces and mutter the
Same words that I do but they're not like me.
They're not ugly.
People will approach my words with sympathy
BUT YOU KNOW THAT THE FACE YOU SEE IS UGLY.
YOU KNOW.
WHY ARE YOU LYING TO ME?
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
DON'T DISAGREE WITH ME.
I'M UGLY.
I have circles under my eyes.
I have a shiny nose.
Thin eyebrows
Fat cheeks
Thin lips
A double chin
A LARGE CHIN
A ROUND FACE
A LARGE FOREHEAD
THIN HAIR
FAT HIPS
FAT THIGHS
SHIT I AM TOO LAZY TO GET RID OF EVEN THOUGH I COMPLAIN BECAUSE
I AM FUCKING DISGUSTING.
I AM A DISAPPOINTMENT.

Because some people don't see the world as it is, but as they are, beautiful. Do you think a dead bird is beautiful? I do. How about a ripped kite stuck in a tree, no longer able to fly? I do. A dog with three legs is a beautiful sign of determination to carry on. A homeless person layered in shit is a beautiful symbol of human survival.
There are some of us who truly see beyond the eyes to the beauty and pain that resides in a sea of despair called humanity. And for all its pain and ugliness, it's beautiful in a tortured way, in a self-inflicted passion of disgust, like a child throwing himself on the floor in a heated tantrum because the world is so unfair. It's amusingly, and preciously beautiful. And so thus are you too. And that is not a lie but a truth.
