A Flowering
She flowered indoors through winter; it's now time
To take her out and show her what it's like
Beyond the warm walls: there she may incline
To mark the coming seasons and delight
In giving pleasure, happy to fulfill
The role she's been ascribed and always sought;
Where there's a way, there's like to be a will
And, if there's not, then a will can be taught
To subsume all its hopes and its desires
And to enjoy both direction and control;
As she enjoys the heat of all the fires
He lights in her, and he remakes her soul,
As he would wish her to be, while he scores
And she will flower and will serve his cause
To take her out and show her what it's like
Beyond the warm walls: there she may incline
To mark the coming seasons and delight
In giving pleasure, happy to fulfill
The role she's been ascribed and always sought;
Where there's a way, there's like to be a will
And, if there's not, then a will can be taught
To subsume all its hopes and its desires
And to enjoy both direction and control;
As she enjoys the heat of all the fires
He lights in her, and he remakes her soul,
As he would wish her to be, while he scores
And she will flower and will serve his cause
