Purple Kisses
Sweet like a fuzzy peach in the heat of June
Endowed with the slow, pin-cushion grace of the harrowed moon
My love, she dances as rose petals beneath my eye
As soft as a bedtime lullaby
Eyes full of innocence and wonder
I'd die before we were torn asunder
My lips long for hers in this late-night hour
If only I could share what could only be ours
A kiss passed from tongue to lip
Like a whisper among tall grass in the form of a cherry bloom
Floating like a boat through the air, the satin ship
To fill this void inside my chest, to seal within this kiss until there remains no room
My love, I breathe for you and only for you
And within my heart there is room for two
Me and you, until the end of time or life
With no reason for worry or strife
