Eden
Here is the void the wise speak of
From the Hell they built above—
A mirror the broken wish to view
But only see their faces through.
A window of dimmed mystery:
Catacomb or sanctuary
None wander who can tell
Save those who searching fell.
Another view and another soul,
In waves of a shoreless sea
Overflowing, the waters full
When the void found me.
But the birds of the winter rain
Sing lullabies of a sweeter pain
So free on their wings I soar
To sanctuary of a new Eden’s door.
From the Hell they built above—
A mirror the broken wish to view
But only see their faces through.
A window of dimmed mystery:
Catacomb or sanctuary
None wander who can tell
Save those who searching fell.
Another view and another soul,
In waves of a shoreless sea
Overflowing, the waters full
When the void found me.
But the birds of the winter rain
Sing lullabies of a sweeter pain
So free on their wings I soar
To sanctuary of a new Eden’s door.
