Fragile Heart
A heart is such a fragile thing
It can be broken or have wings
Go to depths of such despair
Soar above eagles in the air
Crumble in times of mass destruction
keep you breathin when you have nothin
Give another chance, hold ultimate trust
Stand like a Pillar or be ground to dust
Flutter like a butterfly
Pain so great you want to die
Race so fast. gas so low
runnin on empty, givin your soul
Get beat down, rise like an underdog
See so clearly, get lost in fog
Broke in half or split in two
all I'll ever want is you
In pieces, beating like a drum
silence in your chest, or a heart that's numb
A heart so fragile, it can't recognize
or distinguish between truth and lies
or feel healing in a touch
from a lover who loves so much
Intimacy in it's truest form
It's your heart I long to warm
With my heart against your chest
Don't you know I'm not the rest
From the beginning to the end of time
I'll always be yours, but you're not mine
It can be broken or have wings
Go to depths of such despair
Soar above eagles in the air
Crumble in times of mass destruction
keep you breathin when you have nothin
Give another chance, hold ultimate trust
Stand like a Pillar or be ground to dust
Flutter like a butterfly
Pain so great you want to die
Race so fast. gas so low
runnin on empty, givin your soul
Get beat down, rise like an underdog
See so clearly, get lost in fog
Broke in half or split in two
all I'll ever want is you
In pieces, beating like a drum
silence in your chest, or a heart that's numb
A heart so fragile, it can't recognize
or distinguish between truth and lies
or feel healing in a touch
from a lover who loves so much
Intimacy in it's truest form
It's your heart I long to warm
With my heart against your chest
Don't you know I'm not the rest
From the beginning to the end of time
I'll always be yours, but you're not mine
