and the walls are just windows...
there is a feeling prevalent
amongst many in the city, that the
latest buildings
are getting a little bit above
themselves
and standing on the fourteenth
floor of a brand new glass edifice
I couldn't help thinking that there really
needs to be a ceiling
put on this...

I've been to the top of the Shard and
seen across London and deep into
Kent, which was nice, of course, but
the sky seemed no nearer..:)
and, to be honest,
I'd rather be closer to a blade of grass...

There's nothing that beats rural. Unfortunately, when in the middle of urban and told that you've got an amazing view, you feel it's your duty to enjoy those vast buildings - until you leave and realise the word rat race really does apply. I enjoyed this, enough to think about and easy to comprehend at the same time.
