To Hell And Back Again

I have travelled to Hell and back
Seen my sanity shift and crack
Lucky enough to see the light
Guiding me through the darkest nights
I walk among the dark shadows
All my flaws are being exposed
I turn to faith and start to pray
Hoping I won't be led astray
I claw my way up from Hell's gates
For some strange reason I cheat fate
I look and see how far I've come
All these things I have overcome
My body is riddled with scars
They are the start of my memoir
THe scars show my past, where I've been
Unmentionable things I've seen
But they don't show where I'm going
Like a tree, I will keep growing
One day I'll spread my wings and fly
Making my way into the sky
Lastly I'll reach safe haven
Final destination - Heaven
